While her former friends Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan have both faced serious legal drama this summer, Nicole Richie has spoken out about turning her life around, saying:
"One thing about me is that I’ve always taken responsibility for my own actions whether they’re good or bad. Even when I was going through my tough time, that was a situation that I created.
"People ask me, do I blame Hollywood or my parents? No I don't blame my parents. It had nothing to do with them. I created it and manifested it and I got myself through it with the help of a lot of great people."
We hope Lindsay and Paris can take advice from the balanced star.
Meanwhile, following Katy Perry's bachelorette party with Rihanna in Vegas, Nicole reportedly took a troupe of her celebrity friends on a spa break in Mexico to wave goodbye to her own single life over the weekend.
The former reality star was spotted enjoying the sun with Samantha Ronson and Christina Aguilera, where, according to People.com, the girls relaxed by the resort pool and enjoyed a series of spa treatments as the bride-to-be prepares to marry her long-term love and father of two children, Sparrow and Harlow, Joel Madden.
We're not sure whether we'd preferred to have been at Katy's wild party or Nicole's relaxing break… Both!
