It had been rumoured this morning that the 36-year-old Oscar Winning-actress was pregnant following pictures of her sporting what looked like a baby bump on the set of her upcoming film, 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides'.
And now Penelope's representative has told the Press Association: "Penelope Cruz is four-and-a-half months pregnant. At the moment she is on her way to London where the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean 4 is almost finished".
The star married fellow Spanish actor and Oscar-winner 41-year-old Javier during a secret ceremony in the Bahamas in July and have long kept their relationship private.
The pair co-starred in Woody Allen's 'Vicky Cristina Barcelona', for which she won Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards in 2009, after first appearing together as lovers in Spanish film, 'Jamon Jamon' back in 1992.
Bardem's sister recently told Spanish publication, Hola, about the happy couple: "They have shown the world they are in love and it would be only normal and natural to have children."
We love baby news. Congratulations, Penelope and Javier!
