Actor Ryan Phillippe has confirmed that he is dating at the moment but has laughed off rumours that he was romantically involved with more than one woman.
It had been recently rumoured that he was seeing pop star Rihanna behind actress Amanda Seyfried's back. But now the Hollywood heartthrob has put the record straight concerning his less complicated love life, and confirmed he is "dating" but just the one lucky lady.
The 36-year-old Crash actor, currently promoting new film The Lincoln Lawyer, appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and admitted:
"I'm dating. Not nearly as voracious as the magazines like to make out, [but] I am dating."
The star didn't reveal the name of the 25-year-old Mamma Mia starlet but recent photographs showed Phillippe and Amanda Seyfried enjoying an intimate night out together.
Phillippe described his perfect woman instead, saying:
"Sense of humor. I like a strong woman. I like individuality. I like a woman who's self possessed. Who knows who she is. Who knows what she wants."
The star, who was married and has two children with actress Reese Witherspoon, added that his mother gets "really, really upset" by "negative" news about him. And that she's also noticed that he's been referred to as "D.I.L.F." in online comments, adding:
"She's like, 'Yes, it means they want to have sex with him.'"
He then joked:
"I think she's embraced D.I.L.F."
Seyfried was equally as coy in a recent interview in which she said that, yes, she had been "seen" with Phillippe, who she met at Kate Hudson's Halloween party last year.
