S Club's Rachel has her engagement ring snatched right outside her house
Police are today investigating whether Rachel Stevens could have been singled out as a celebrity victim of crime by thieves after the singer and reality star was mugged outside of her London flat for tens of thousands of pounds worth of stuff.
Three robbers took her engagement and a Rolex watch just weeks before she is set to marry actor fiance Alex Bourne.
Police are looking into the possibility that the thieves had been following her after recognising her in an area where many celebrities live.
The men accosted her as she was entering her £800,000 Regent's Park flat in North London shouting: "Give us the f***ing stuff!"
But fortunately the star was not harmed in the attack. Her spokeswoman said last night: "Rachel did experience an intrusion and is shaken but otherwise OK."
The singer can now put it behind her and look forward to her wedding in France next month to 'Family Affairs' actor Alex. But, shockingly, it seems that none of her former S Club 7 bandmates will be at the celebrations.
She said recently: "I haven’t seen any of them for so long, so I don’t think any of them will be there. Not because I don’t want them to, but because we’re not really in touch any more."
She's obviously already forgotten that there ain't no party like an S Club party!
