Rihanna bust up was allegedly caused by Chris Brown receiving a flirty text
More rumours are surfacing about the Rihanna/Chris Brown case, although neither of them have been seen since the Saturday night bust up which left her in hospital and him in custody.
The latest is that R&B singer Chris received a text message from a girl he had been flirting with earlier in the evening and that this enraged Rihanna and caused her to start the ruck with him.
We suggested yesterday that Leona Lewis might have been the woman he was flirting with earlier in the evening but that sounded ridiculous to us and has now been flatly denied by her people.
A police source has said: "Rihanna had seen him flirting with another girl and taking her number. She presumed the text was a booty call from her. It turned into a row which erupted into a fight."
We also learned today that Rihanna may have been left unconscious at the end of the brawl and that Brown, 19, may have threatened to kill her, which was what led to police charging him with making criminal threats.
He is due to report to police again on March 5.
Somehow we don't think they're going to be spending Valentine's together this year.
