Robert Pattinson already has a massive year ahead, with Breaking Dawn, Bel Ami and Water for Elephants all set for release in 2011, but he's now got yet ANOTHER flick to add to his resume after being confirmed at the lead in David Cronenberg's upcoming Cosmopolis.
According to Deadline, the actor, best known for his role as Edward Cullen in Twilight, will play "financial wunderkind" Eric Packer in the cinematic adaptation of the classic Don De Lillo book, which revolves around a assassination plot resulting from gambling.
Marion Cotillard and Paul Giamatti are also attached to the project, but Rob is currently the only name confirmed.
Hopefully this new project will act as some sort of consolation for the Brit after Johnny Depp beat him to the Best Actor prize at last night's People's Choice Awards. Don't worry, Rob, Johnny Depp has almost three decades of being hot (and acting) on you.
