Catherine Hardwicke, the director of vampire flick 'Twilight', has responded to the rumours that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are an item and although she avoids the direct question, she certainly hints that the couple are well suited.
Hardwicke explained: "I cast them together, so obviously I think they're awesome together. There's no question about that."
There is no denying the spark between the handsome duo in the film and it seems they have lots in common were they to embark on a relationship together - or indeed if they already have.
She added: "I think they're both fascinating, tortured, artists. Which is kind of cool to be with somebody else that gets what that's like. They are both amazing with very interesting minds. So that's kind of cool, too."
We're fascinating, tortured artists too, RPatz!
The director, who admitted that she initially felt "guilty" about all the attention 24-year-old Pattinson and 19-year-old Stewart have received since they starred in her movie, went on to say: "When I'm in the airport on trips I'll look at the magazines. It's pretty wild. I feel pretty bad for everybody. You wish you could just have a life!"
Pattinson and Stewart have finished filming and continue to deny that they are anything but very good, fascinating and tortured friends...
