When it was alleged that Russell Brand had been snogging Katy Perry at an MTV VMA afterparty, we assumed it was a one-off (surely Russ can never be tamed!), but now it looks like the relationship has been cranked up a notch....
According to The Sun, the presenter sent the I Kissed A Girl singer a love poem after meeting at last month's MTV Video Music Awards with an accompanying note reading: "Please send me a poem back."
Katy is said to have surprised him by replying with a photo of her chest with the word 'poem' written a cross it, which so impressed that Russell whisked her off on hol.
A source told the paper: "Russell has fancied Katy for ages.
"When they were both in New York for the music awards Russell finally got his chance to work his charm on her.
"Katy knows his bad boy reputation but could not resist."
Another source told the tablod:
"Despite his reputation, Katy thinks Russell is so charming she just wants to give things a go with him.
"She thinks he is hilarious and incredibly sexy."
