Our boy's done good... Russell Brand, our lovable, raven-haired lothario is set to present the MTV VMAs for the second time in a row, making him the first presenter in history to do so.
The 34-year-old British comedian, who seemed to ruffle a few feathers at the ceremony in LA last year, particularly with his acerbic wit and jibes about the Jonas Brothers and their purity rings, is wanted back by MTV and the star is said to be thrilled.
A source said: He [Russell Brand] is over the moon. Its the first time ever that the same host has been used for two consecutive years, which means a lot to him. He has had to promise not to offend the Jonas Brothers again though.
The live event will be held in New York on September 13, and is set to be staged at different venues including Radio City Music Hall. And the video and music awards, which saw Brand cheekily chat up Britney Spears last time (and who swept the boards) will reportedly have a West Side Story theme. Congratualtions Russ!
