Luckily Peter saw the funny side, Tweeting:
"YES! I finally came in number one in something!"
Critic Peter Travers, who compiled the list of the best and worst fangs in TV and film, wrote:
"Facinelli is a solid actor, but playing Carlisle Cullen, the white-haired head of the fang-challenged Cullen vampire family, he looks about as terrifying as Project Runway winner Austin Scarlett, whom Carlisle closely resembles."
To this, Peter responded:
"Thank you Mr Travers. As Carlisle is a compassionate humanitarian, and anti-vampire in nature, being the worst vampire was quite the compliment. Although, you had me at 'solid actor'. I did find the comparison to Austin Scarlett utterly ridiculous though... He has way better cheek bones."
At least the actor is in fairly good company on the 'worst' list - other names include Eddie Murphy in Vampire in Brooklyn, Gerard Butler in Dracula 2000, Kate Beckinsale in Underworld and Tom Cruise in Interview with the Vampire.
Meanwhile, Peters Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson only came in at number 10 on the best vampire list, being beaten by True Bloods Alexander Skarsgard in fourth place and The Vampire Diaries Ian Somerhalder in third. As for the top vampire, it goes to Bela Lugosi for 1931s Dracula.
Peter may not make a great vampire, but we think he's a VERY good doctor in TV show Nurse Jackie (tune in to see what we mean!).
