Johnny Depp deeply grateful for work but claims it could all end tomorrow
With a successful acting career that has lasted for nearly as long as us (25!) Johnny Depp still remains humble and modest about his achievements and worries that it could all end tomorrow. The Hollywood heartthrob and star of Pirates of the Caribbean, who we've lusted after throughout our adolescence (and even now!) is anxious that he may end up in a dead-end job and is therfore grateful that the movie roles keep rolling in. Despite being one of the most well-known actors and a huge name in the fickle old world of showbiz.
The 45-year-old father-of-two with long-term girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, gushed: "I never dreamed I would get this far and stay around for so long. In fact I always wonder when I'm going to be rumbled and sent packing. It could happen tomorrow, so I'm just deeply, deeply grateful for the jobs I get."
And the star, who made his big screen debut in Nightmare on Elm Street in 1984, claimed he could be filling your car with petrol if work were to dry up. We'd like to see that...
He added: "Who knows. I might still end up playing guitar in some bar someplace. Or pumping gas? I honestly believe it's a miracle I still get jobs."
