We get the gossip from the new Sugababes line-up plus watch our exclusive behind the scenes video of the girls supporting the Fight Cervical Cancer in Style campaign!
Sitting in plush chairs, surrounded by mini cakes with their initials on and roaring with laughter you'd hardly believe that these three girls hadn't been a band together for much longer than 3 months. And that the replacement of Keisha with Eurovision contestant Jade Ewan had been shrouded in controversy and hate mail from hard-core fans. I hadn't had a proper chat with the new Sugababes line up so I was keen to find out how life was now, without Keisha...
So there's a new line up... how have you bonded?
H: Really good, it's not felt like we forced it. It's just we've been together so much anyway doing radio tours so it happened naturally. It's been nice and feels natural.
A: Yes we've had girly dinners and gone out partying. We're really enjoying it again, it's the way it's supposed to have been. It's so different now, the atmosphere is so different. It's lovely, relaxed and so easy now.
H: Yes it's fun now!
A: Everyone has noticed the difference in us because we're genuinely very content and happy. Everything is very good.
You're mates with GA, have they welcomed Jade?
A: Yes we went to Sarah's birthday party and Jade was introduced. Sarah just said "Hey babe so glad everything is cool now".
Maybe a silly question, but Sugababes or Girls Aloud Jade?
J: I would rather be in Sugababes, although I' m a big Cheryl fan. I love our new album, it feels very credible because we've worked with amazing people. It was so cool looking out at our Children In Need gig, there were so many people singing along.
Has it been hard learning the whole library of songs?
J: I've learnt a trick. We'll sing then put the mic out to the audience and get the crowd to sing along so if I forget the words I'm going to do that and pretend I'm doing crowd interaction, even if it's a random bit of the verse!
What's been your highlight of 09?
A: The fresh start and opportunity of carrying on with the band. It's so nice coming to work now. It's just a pleasure. We've recorded more songs for the album so 2010 should be a really good year.
So Xmas is just around the corner, what's been your best or worst ever Xmas presents?
H: I remember being over the moon with some Minnie Mouse roller skates, they were brilliant. If something's not really my taste I will give it to the charity shop or a friend. But I don't try and pass it off as a prezzie!
J: My karaoke machine was the best- I was the queen of the Disney songs! My baby brother used to slobber all over the mic which was really annoying! I get some really dodgy underwear every year from my grandparents. I love them but it's always three sizes too big with scary frills and not really that sexy...
And who do you want under your Xmas tree this year?
A: Josh Hartnett! He's hot! I saw his double the other day. He was really young - like 17! I wasn't chatting him up, he asked me for my picture and I couldn't believe he'd never heard the Josh thing before! He was the spitting image but a younger, fresher version. That sounds so wrong. I'd like the real one please!
J: I wouldn't mind a model to come round and decorate my tree. Put the ball balls on. We were in the D&G press office and they had a poster up of this absolutely gorgeous guy and Amelle knows him! Look out for him in the posters!
H: I was going to say a dog. I know I'm not going to get one because I know we can't look after one properly, because of our job.
J: Heidi had to give one away already but he comes to visit her. We stayed in a hotel in Manchester and mine and Heidi's room had a connecting door so I just kept seeing this paw coming round the door!
H: They give him a bowl and everything in the room- but I saw a sign saying strictly no pets! He's clearly an exception!
What's top of your Xmas lists?
J: Pyjamas and massive hairy slippers. I left my pyjamas in a hotel, but I didn't realise until it was too late so they're either on Ebay or some cleaner is wearing them!
H: I've got my perfect present already, a pair of glitzy Christian Louboutins. Only 6 in the world have been made- I just keep staring at them!
Party season is upon us, what are your fail-safe party tips?
H: Red lipstick is always a good look
A: And glitter. Don't go over the top with it, but a little glitter eyeliner is nice.
J: Deep red or purple nails, it warms your whole body up!
And who'd you want to win X factor this weekend?
J: Joe or Stacey for me!
A: We met Stacey at the Xtra Factor the other week. They're all genuine, lovely people. We did love JEdward but they got voted out!
H: I don't mind if it's Olly, Stacey or Joe!
You're actually chatting to us today because you're keen to raise awareness of cervical cancer?
A: Yes, it's something we feel really passionately about because it affects so many young women. We've learnt a lot in the process. We thought it was a gene passed on to you, but it's actually caused by a virus that can be passed on by skin to skin contact (down there). That shocked us. Three women die a day from it so whether it's a smear test, the vaccine or both, just get it sorted.
J: Our job is to be good role models and we didn't know much about it beforehand. We would have appreciated someone telling us about it if it was the other way round.
H: It's not like other cancers, if it's caught early enough they can treat it. Smear tests aren't a pleasant thing but it's important. It's the most common cancer in girls 20-29. When you're our age you think "Oh cancer is when you're older" but it's not- it's young women.
So women shouldn't be embarrassed about talking about things down there?
A: No you should talk about things down there, it's nothing to be ashamed of. Sort it out, then you're at ease and you can sleep at night.
