The actress who will play Kate Middleton in the the US Lifetime original film William and Kate, has finally been picked and revealed as British newcomer Camilla Luddington.
Like 29-year-old Kate, Camilla also hails from Berkshire, and will star opposite New Zealand actor Nico Evers-Swindell, playing 28-year-old Prince William, in the film based on the couple's royal romance.
The starlet beat off still competition in Hollywood to land the coveted role, despite only having a few TV credits to her name, and is set to star in upcoming Hallmark TV movie Accidentally in Love. British actor Ben Cross will play Prince Charles.
Last week it was revealed that the film would chronicle the couple's history "from the moment the two students met at Scotland's prestigious University of St Andrews" and would address the "intense global media attention surrounding their storybook nuptials."
The film will have to start shooting pretty swiftly as it is set to be aired in the same week as Prince William and Kate marry, on Friday, 29 April.
