If anyone was cynical about Russell Brand and Katy Perry's whirlwind romance which resulted in marriage after less than a year of dating, Katy has now insisted she knew straight away the comedian was the one, as he lived up to her request for a 'great man of God.'
Speaking to a news source, the 25-year-old 'Fireworks' singer revealed: "I always knew I wanted a great man of God. Someone who was going to be an inspiration for people and also be a lovely husband and father."
The couple married in India on 23 October at the very same resort the 35-year-old 'Get Him To The Greek' star proposed on New Year's Eve.
She added: "We're at different places in our lives, but we can still grow together. He's thought-provoking, articulate, a real advocate. I also definitely wanted to have a laugh. I have all that in him."
On her sweet yet sexy image, she continued: "I'm a good girl because I really believe in love, integrity, and respect. I'm a bad girl because I like to tease. I know that I have sex appeal in my deck of cards. But I like to get people thinking. That's what the stories in my music do."
