The Grammy Award nominations have been announced and a star-studded bash was held to celebrate in LA yesterday. Golden girl Katy Perry was one of the stars to perform at the glittering ceremony and the singer was also there to discover that she'd been nominated for four awards, including Best Pop Album and Best Pop Vocal Performance for her single Teenage Dream and Best Pop Collaboration for California Gurls alongside Snoop Dog.
But it was rapper Eminem, who was absent from the event, who swept the boards with to nominations. The 38-year-old is currently enjoying a successful comeback and will be competing for three coveted awards for Best Album, Song and Record of The Year.
Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle is up against Lady GaGa, nominated for six, and Katy, for Best Pop Vocal Album and the 49-year-old, whose second album The Gift was released last month, has since released a statement over the exciting news: "Up against wonderful artists like Lady GaGa and Katy Perry I don't expect to win for a moment but how fantastic just to be recognised like this with a nomination on my first album."
