Lily single again!Lily Allen splits with multimillionaire lover - so much for the engagement ring!

It looks like Lily Allen has been messing with us in order to drum up some extra publicity for her up-coming second album release (in shops next month, folks!).

The 23-year-old, who was last week conspicuously flashing a ring on her engagement finger, has reportedly split with her lover.

The singer, who had been seeing the stupidly rich art dealer Jay Jopling (said to be worth £100m! ) for just a month, has split with the 45 year old due to the age difference between them.

He was only one year off being twice her age after all!

A source said: "It was her decision to split as she’ll be away a lot this year and wouldn’t have got to see Jay much.

"She also felt the age gap was a bit too big. She felt that both his and her friends disapproved."

Although Lily's dad Keith, who is friends with Jopling, apparently didn't disapprove.

The source added: "She’ll definitely miss sharing his lifestyle. She loved staying at his huge London pad and talking about art.

"Their break-up wasn’t acrimonious and they’re still on really good terms."
