And if thats not enough to excite you, wait til you see some of the competitors... All those finely toned muscles make for a group of very attractive men, so why not spice up your ticket to the Olympics by going to see some of the most beautiful athletes in the world compete.

Tennis could be the sport for you boasting a contingent of smouldering Spanish players headed by world number 1, Rafa Nadal, and ably supported by Feliciano Lopez (below left) and David Ferrer. The tennis tournament starts on 28th July.

The Olympic swimming contingent has some of the best bodies on the planet and now following the bodysuit ban, you can see them again. Head to the 50m and 100m freestyle on the 1st August to see the likes of Ryan Lochte,South Africa’s world record holder, Cameron Van Der Burgh and Lyndon Ferns. However, if you fancy spotting some home-grown talent, why not head down to the rowing on the 2nd August to see Peter Reed (below) and his crew compete in the fours.

And finally a third reason. Celebrities love their sport as much as the next person, so if you want to spot a celeb at the Games, check out the fencing finals on 3rd August, after Will Smith revealed that he and David Beckham often go round Tom Cruise’s house for a spot of fencing. You should also be able to spot Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Weightlifting 105kg final on 7th August - the former Terminator was Mr Olympia seven times before pursuing a film career and is known for attending weightlifting competitions. Prince William and Kate are strong tips for the water polo final on 12th August as the future king represented St Andrew's University at water polo and was a keen player during his time in the Army.
