After suffering a miscarriage shortly after her April 2008 marriage to Nick Cannon, Mariah Carey is said to have cried herself to sleep and feared she'd be unable to fall pregnant again.
br /> But the 41-year-old singer and actress has revealed to Us Weekly that she and 30-year-old Nick refused to give up on the prospect of having a family.
br /> And while she denied using IVF, Mariah has since admitted to taking progesterone, a hormone used to boost fertility and maintain pregnancy in women who are susceptible to miscarriage.
br /> Nick also revealed that acupuncture played a big part in the star falling pregnant, telling the US publication: "Once-a-day acupuncture all over her body. I think it helped her quite a bit, because it was a good de-stressor."
br /> When Mariah discovered she was pregnant, the actor and TV personality added that her face was "priceless", recalling: "We definitely cried. We still cry all the time. It's an emotional journey."
br /> Although the couple originally wouldn't say when the baby was due, they have since revealed that the date is around Spring time, with Mariah continuing: "It amazes me that I'm going to have his [Nick Cannon] baby. He's a great person, and we have more in common than not.
