Even though the couple flatly denied the rumours a week ago, (since Mariah Carey referred to her unborn child as 'they' there has been speculation the couple were expecting more than one child), her husband Nick Cannon has finally confirmed the rumours. On his radio show Rollin With Nick Cannon, he told his listeners 'We are having twins.'
And apparently the President and First Lady were the first to know! According to Cannon, Mariah was chatting to the Obamas last Sunday at TNT's Christmas in Washington and they asked her about the pregnancy
Canon revealed:'They, ironically enough, questioned my wife about, you know, "So, what are you having, are you having twins?"'
'And at this point she hadn't told anybody anything because doctors advised us to keep it to ourselves until we get further along.'
And Carey couldn't keep their secret it seems! 'And because of the excitement, because of the emotion, she was overwhelmed [and] she shared with the president and first lady that we are having twins.' Cannon said. The couple, who have been married since 2008, can now expect to hear the sound of more than one set of pattering feet!
