There's been film and TV awards this year already, and now it's music's turn, starting off with the NME awards.
Leading the pack are Foals with five nominations including Best British Band and Best Album, while Arcade Fire follow smartly on their heels with four.
Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro are up for Best British Band, while Lady Gaga is up for three, including Most Stylish, Least Stylish and Hottest Woman, where she is competing with Shakira.
