The Brits 2010: Winners and memorable moments!

Lily Allen at the Brits

See the style (or lack of it) on this year's soggy red carpet with our Brit fashion gallery

Our Fashion editor Kirsty hits the Brits - see what she got up to here

International Male Solo Artist

Winner: Jay-Z

Nominees:

Bruce Springsteen
Eminem
Jay-Z
Michael Bublé
Seasick Steve

British Breakthrough Act

Winner: JLS

The boys have already bought the house down with their performance of Beat Again (and their chest-flashing!) and were so excited to get their Brit they nearly knocked someone over on their way to the stage

Nominees:

Florence & the Machine
Friendly Fires
JLS
La Roux
Pixie Lott

Best BRITs Performance of the Last 30 Years

Winner: The Spice Girls for their 1997 performance of Who Do You Think You Are - style kudos to Mel B from our fashion ed for her on-trend get up...

Nominees:

Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive/How Deep is Your Love (1997)
Bros - I Owe you Nothing (1989)

Take That Beatles Medley - I Wanna Hold Your Hand/Hard Day's Night/ She Loves Me (1994)
The Who - Who Are You (1988)

British Group

Winner: Kasabian - we LOVED their performance of Fire earlier in the show (complete with a flaming stage, very dramatic!), but what was that 'You can't make an omlette without breaking some eggs' speech all about when they (bit drunkenly we think!) collected their award?

Nominees:

Doves
Friendly Fires
JLS
Kasabian
Muse

Brits Album of 30 Years

Winner: Oasis - what would the Brits be without a bit of Oasis-fuelled antagonism? Brotherly love is still a LONG way off with the boys from Manchester as Liam pointedly left Noel out of his acceptance speech. Oh - and then to add a splash more drama he chucked the mic into the audience with these words of wisdom "Listen kids... the best bands in the f****** world live forever." Leaving Brit host Peter Kay to remark "What a knobhead." Quite.

International Breakthrough Act

Winner: Lady Gaga - who came over all emotional on collecting her award and paid tribute to the late Alexander McQueen.

Nominees:

Animal Collective
Daniel Merriweather
Empire of the Sun
Lady Gaga
Taylor Swift

British Male Solo Artist

Winner: Dizzee Rascal - who pulled off an AMAZING performance with Florence and The Machine, a mash up of Dirty Cash and You Got The Love. There were disco balls, giant hearts...definitely the performance the night and a deserved win for Dizzee.

Nominees:

Calvin Harris
Dizzee Rascal
Mika
Paolo Nutini
Robbie Williams

International Female Solo Artist

Winner: Lady Gaga - now she of two 2010 Brits who was accompanied by her faithful tea cup as she collected her second award. We loved Jonathon Ross and his rapper get up as he presented the award, apparently pimped by Dizzee...!

Nominees:

Lady Gaga

Ladyhawke
Norah Jones
Rihanna
Shakira

British Female Solo Artist

Winner: Lily Allen - the songstress had donned a ginger wig to pick up her gong, apparently so she wouldn't be recognised doing the 'I don't care that I didn't win, no really...' face if she lost out to one of the other nominees.

Nominees:

Bat for Lashes
Florence & the Machine
Leona Lewis
Lily Allen
Pixie Lott

Critics' Choice Award

Winner: Ellie Goulding

Nominees:

Ellie Goulding
Delphic
Marina and the Diamonds

International Album

Winner: Lady Gaga for Fame - three's a charm for the queen of crazy costumes and this time there are definitely tears

Nominees:

Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion
Black Eyed Peas - The E.N.D.
Empire of the Sun - Walking on a Dream
Jay-Z - The Blueprint 3
Lady Gaga - The Fame

Best British Single

Winner: JLS for Beat Again - well done the boys and we particularly liked Aston's celebratory back-flip, the man has the moves...

Best British Album

Winner: Florence And The Machine for Lungs - and quite rightly so...

Nominees:

Dizzee Rascal - Tongue n'Cheek
Florence & the Machine - Lungs
Kasabian - West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum
Lily Allen - It's Not Me, It's You
Paolo Nutini - Sunny Side Up

Outstanding Contribution to Music

Winner: Robbie Williams  - natch. Well, you all knew that one!

So, that's it for another year, the 30th Brit Awards are officially over, phew! But what did you think? Did the right people win? Was Robbie's performance a bit of a shambles? Was Florence and Dizzee's mash-up the best thing ever? What was your favourite style moment? Is Liam really a knob (Peter Kay's words, not ours)? Tell us all in the comments!
