The 82nd Academy Awards has whipped LA into a frenzy - actresses are agonised over dress choices, nominees have practised their 'I don't care about winning' faces and those little gold statuettes have been buffed and polished til they're gleaming. And it's exciting times for our homegrown talent making the trip over to tinseltown too - with Brits Colin Firth, Helen Mirren and Carey Mulligan all up for the most coveted Oscars.
