We reported last month that Peaches Geldof and Eli Roth had reportedly gone their separate ways and now sources are claiming that the pair have indeed split and mainly because of their pressing work commitments which kept them apart.
The 21-year-old socialite and 38-year-old actor and director Eli got together in March this year and were even reported to have become engaged during the summer, rumours the pair went on to vehemently deny. A source told the Daily Mirror: "Peaches is really sad that things didn't work out with Eli. They were very much in love and she'd never been so nuts about a guy. "But both are hard workers and have huge work commitments coming up, so they were due to be spending too much time apart.
"It was almost better for them to part ways before things got even trickier with making time for each other. They remain great friends and her time spent with him will remain extremely precious but it's all over now."
Peaches, who triggered the rumours of their split after admitting on Twitter that she was going on a "break" from the micro-blogging site, is now said to be throwing herself into her work, including a new TV project.
The source added: "She's been busily working on TV. She's certainly not just sitting about feeling sorry for herself. She's ambitious with her career and still has a lot that she wants to achieve. "Peaches really wants to make a go of being a presenter and is just at the beginning of her career."
