Cher Lloyd finished fourth in the seventh series of X Factor before being signed to Simon Cowells label Syco Music. Cher Lloyds annoyingly infectious debut single Swagger Jagger was released in June 2011 and went to number one in the UK. Her subsequent single With Ur Love peaked at number four in the charts.
Cher has gone on to achieve huge success in the US, with her debut single Want U Back released in May 2012 going platinum after selling over a million copies!

Olly Murs was a runner up in the sixth series and has gone on to release two albums the latter, his self-titled album, was certified double platinum after selling 600,000 copies. Olly Murs also has a successful presenting career, fronting The Xtra Factor on ITV2 with Caroline Flack.

One Direction was formed of five solo acts - Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson - who entered the X Factor but the judges didnt consider strong enough performers to make it alone. They were a huge success on the show but only finished in third place in the seventh series of X Factor.
Simon Cowell signed the boys to his Syco label and their debut single What Makes You Beautiful went straight into the charts at number one, and their debut album Up All Night went into the charts at number two, gaining them a crazed female following! The band have also managed to break America by scoring a number one with their album there too!

Rebecca Ferguson was a runner up in the sixth series of The X Factor. Her retro-infused brand of soul-pop has gained her critical acclaim and a MOBO nomination. She is reported to be releasing her second album in 2014.

Ray Quinn finished series 3 of the X Factor in second pace to Leona Lewis. After X Factor, Quinn was signed to Sony BMG and recorded a swing album Doing It My Way, which went straight to number one in the UK, going platinum in the first week!
After his solo tour in 2007, Quinn was dropped from his label but has gone on to play key roles in various musicals, such as Grease, Legally Blonde and Aladdin.
Diana Vickers was a semifinalist in the fifth series of The X Factor and has gone on to enjoy some chart success, having three singles in the UK Top 40.
She has also designed ranges for Very.co.uk and is currently working on her her debut film role alongside Clint Eastwoods son.

Rhydian Roberts classical style of singing wasnt enough to see him through to the finals of the X Factor in 2007, but since leaving the show he has gone on to have huge success in the classical field.
In 2008, the Welsh singer performed at Andrew Lloyd Webbers 60th Brithday concert, in 2009 he had a 24-date solo tour in the UK. He has performed at various classical galas in London and even performed for The Prince Of Wales at his old high school in Llandovery. Rhydian's second UK concert tour takes place between February and April 2013 for you classical fans out there!
