"One of the definite winners of the night (in the style stakes anyway) was Jessica Chastain in her Roland Mouret dress. The bold blue design looked amazing against her fair skin and red hair, and the simplicity. Our only criticism, if we were being really picky, is the fabric - it's bordering dangerously close to bridesmaid material."

JENNIFER LAWRENCE

"Jennifer has recently been appointed as the new face of Dior, so we weren't surpursed when her gown was a Christian Dior Couture design. We're letting her off thoughm, as this embellished, strapless dress looks incredible  on her, while her slicked back hair kept the look modern. We're glad she took her coat off!"

MARION COTILLARD

"Clearly not afraid to make a statment, we almost whooped with fashion joy when we saw that someone had decided to really make a statement on the red carpet! Marion went for this acid yellow Dior ballgown, and while some thought the sheer panel was a rip, we reckon she just rocked it."

"An orange empire line maxi dress might sound a simple choice for an awards ceremony, but when you look like Laura, she could wear an old bin bag and we'd still be inundated with 'get the look' ideas. She teamed this coral Roksanda Illincic gown with clashing emerald earrings, and we're already wanting the look for our Summer wardrobe."

"Star of the night Anne looked great in this body-skimming Burberry dress - it was minimal and chic, but we feel that the Les Mis star could have gone a bit bolder with the make up as the dress was quite simple."
