It's that time of year again people - time to say goodbye to your Saturday nights and social life and prepare yourself - because Simon Cowell's massive show the X Factor hits our screens again this week!
However, there are a few changes to the traditional show format to keep us on our toes and keep the X Factor fresh - this year the auditionees can sing songs and even play tunes that they have written themselves on their own instruments - so we certainly expect some clangers, but we also might see the next Coldplay form, so we're pretty excited about that all round!
There are venue changes too - the boot camp will now be held in Liverpool, and the massive final will move from Wembley in London to Manchester - looks like the X Factor is going North!
As well as physical changes, the age limit on the 'Overs' category has been lifted to 28 from the 25 age bracket it was before, differentiating the categories further. But which judge will get which category? (And who decides this anyway??) There may be all new rows between the judges as Nicole Scherzinger takes her place as on the judging panel for the 2012 series - prepare yourself for more 'fashion war' stories between the newest judge and last year's Tulisa, who comes back to the show this year as a blonde - the beauty jury is still out on that one!
Finally, our mega fave Gary Barlow has returned to the show as a hero - not only did he mastermind the Queen's Jubilee celebrations but he took to the Olympic Closing Ceremony stage just days after suffering a personal tragedy - whatevs Cowell, we don't miss you - it's all about team Gary here at Company HQ!
So what do you all make of the changes? Will you be tuning in this year? let us know what you think by commenting using Facebook below...
