Why is it hot?
Based right next to the Birmingham University campus in Selly Oak, The Gun Barrels is a renowned student haunt thanks to it's cheap beers, good location and numerous pool tables.
As it's a Scream pub food and drinks come pretty cheap, and if you get hold of a Yellow Card from the bar you'll get extra discounts - sadly not off the wine!
The newly refurbished Gun Barrels is blessed with a massive beer garden complete with picnic benches and sheltered comfy seating, making it the perfect venue for a few cheeky drinks on a hot summer's day.
The Gun Barrels has numerous TV screens showing music videos and live sport, making it especially popular during the World Cup etc. Other peak times include Monday's Pound a Pint nights (how can you say no?) and the weekends when the pub is full of people enjoying a few drinks before they head into town.
