Why is it hot?
If you're fed up of clichéd nightclubs and are ready for something different from a night out, it's time to head to Bigger than Barry.
Only a year old, this club night has taken the second city by storm and it's easy to see why. With the hottest DJ's and MC's including Tapedeck, GoldieLocks and Tomb Crew providing the music along with the Barry massive, this night is for those who like their music grimy and their drinks flowing fast.
A night not for the faint hearted, Barry welcomes fancy dress with previous themes including a Pikey Rave and Geek Chic. If you're feeling brave you can also get your hair cut by resident hairdresser Mr Clip. Winner of Best Club Night at the Birmingham Bar Awards, Bigger than Barry is now going nationwide with nights held in Leeds and Nottingham.
With spin off nights Big Barry's Little Barry and Later with Barry, there is no excuse for missing out on some Barry loving!
Entry Fee?
It varies, but is usually £8 for an advance ticket or £10 on the door. Advance tickets are available from www.theticketsellers.co.uk.
Bouncer scare status?
Pushover - there's no strict guest list for Barry.
When should you rock up?
It's best to get there pretty early if you don't have a ticket as it fills up fast.
Where is it?
With no fixed residency, Bigger than Barry has been held at various locations across the city, including an old warehouse covered completely in sand and palm trees for the annual summer beach party.
