Snobs

Snobs clubbing

Why is it hot?

The perfect venue if you're after a fun night out with cheap drinks and good music.

If you can get past the slightly shabby interior and the fact that the tills look like they haven't been replaced since the seventies, you will discover that Snobs is just a club for people who want to have a good time, and at £2 for a double vodka and mixer or £1 for selected bottles it's pretty easy to achieve!

The club has a variety of nights, with the most popular probably being ‘Big Wednesdays' which plays ‘Indie, Garage rock and funky tunes' in the big room and Northern Soul and 60's in the little room.

Bouncer Scare Status:

The bouncers used to be about as intimidating as Father Christmas (ie. Not at all) - exactly why the place was full of 16 year olds clutching a photocopied passport and looking for their first clubbing experience - but they've toughened up in the past couple of years and if they think you're too drunk you'll probably be chucked out. The best bit about this new door policy? Snobs boasts that it is strictly chav free!

When should you rock up?

It's best to show up pretty early as Snobs is known for its nightmare queue which can sometimes take up to an hour for you to get in (or not at all) if you show up later on. If you don't want to arrive until later buy a ticket off www.studentnighttickets.com. It's a bit more expensive but is worth it for the queue jump and guaranteed entry before midnight.

What to wear?

Think fashionable, funky and fun - they're not uptight here. Don't cover up too much though because it can get very hot on the dance floor!
