Why is it hot?
Here in Birmingham we're over 100 miles away from the nearest beach, so The Beach at the Rainbow Warehouse is the closest thing we're gonna get.
Voted in the top 20 al fresco venues by Mixmag magazine and for good reason, The Beach has 40 tonnes of sand, deckchairs, an ice cream van and a retractable roof to protect us from the unpredictable British weather.
Despite only opening at the start of Summer 2008 it has fast become the hottest venue for nights out, with regular club night Funtime Cub.
The venue has also been host to a variety of special events including Get Lippy favourites' Bigger than Barry summer beach parties and Wild Wild West party.
So get your flip flops on and head to The Beach for a truly unique night out!
Regular nights:
On Wednesday's the beach is home to The Funtime Club which plays a mix of indie, electro, hip-hop, funk, soul, disco and pop. With selected drinks and bottles for £1.50 and shots for £1, The Funtime Club does exactly what it says and provides fun times for all.
Head to The Beach after work every Friday night for Rush Hour' from 5 - 9pm for chilled out drinks.
(back is held on Friday nights, celebrating 20 years of house music)
What to wear?
Think trendy laid back summer wear and flip flops. Heels are a definite no-no in the sand!
