If like us you're fed up of the chain music stores selling overpriced chart music and little else, it's time to head to Swordfish Records - one of the few independent music shops to have survived in the city centre.
Chances are, if there is a CD that you cannot find in one of the larger stores it will be hidden away in the Indie, Rock, Metal or Dance sections of this music lovers' Mecca.
Swordfish is also the place to go to buy tickets for gigs at the Academy, some club nights across the city, and to pick up flyers for places like Subway City and The Sanctuary.
