Why is it hot?
The crisp white robes, the calming white rooms, Grecian statues and walls laced with pre-Raphaelite art really do make you feel like a princess. Aside from what you would expect from a salon, Beautology offers a wide range of treatments from Decleor facials, sensuous body treatments like the slimming Silhouette Algae and detoxifying Monticelli Hot Mud Therapy, hair bleaching, make-up, Hopi ear candles and even pregnancy treatments. They even offer advanced cosmetic procedures too like tattoo removal, collagen replacement and Botox injections if you dare to go to such lengths in the name of beauty. Before your treatment, enjoy a glass of wine or herbal tea in the relaxation room whilst the softly spoken therapist talk you through your treatment.
Best treatment?
I tried out their newest facial the Jan Marini's Luxury Vitaspa Facial which is designed for sun damaged skin and is also good for scarring from conditions like acne. Layer upon layer of lovely-smelling masks, cleansers and moisturisers - orange, green and cream - made my skin come out looking bright and clear. The massages in between were also particularly relaxing.
Recommended therapist?
I think I could trust all of them to do a good job, and it obviously varies on what treatment you have done.
Treatment price?
The Jan Marini Luxury Vitaspa Facial was £80, so a bit pricey, but each week they have a fantastic selection of treatments on offer. This was being launched at £60 when I visited.
