What is it?
At City Nightclub, you will find an energetic mix of trendy people and big tunes.
Why is it hot?
City introduced a unique clubbing concept to Scotland's capital, incorporating all of the essential elements that guarentee a spectacular night of extravagant, vivid and exhilarating entertainment!
City is not a themed club and there's no strict dress code (within reason). It's designed for dancing and although its sparsely decorated, there's fantastic lighting.
It's one of the larger Edinburgh clubs and is spread over several levels. There's a huge dancefloor on the ground while the DJ box hangs overhead. The largest bar is on the ground next to the dancefloor but this is always busy so it's worth walking a few steps further to the furnished bar levels where there are chairs and tables to sit at and catch your breath. Both bar levels are located above the dancefloor so it's a good place to spot your mates if you lose them as well as offering a vantage point for watching some of the stranger shapes that are being thrown out on the floor.
With a number of private booths and seating areas available, you can take a break from the dancefloor to gather your breath and loose yourself in the stylish surroundings, all whilst sipping on some of the world's finest premium products!
City Nightclub has an excellent atmosphere. It attracts a young crowd from 18-year-olds to clubbers no more than a decade older. There are student nights too which are particularly popular during the week.
City has also welcomed its fair share of D-list celebrities - several soap stars and TV personalities have been snapped at the club over the past few months!
Dance, house, disco and electronica and, the latest chart toppers. City does also book big name DJs which are well worth making an effort to see as the crowds, staff and DJs all make sure that these big nights are a talking point.
Nights at City change all the time but the finest are when old skool sounds are mixed in with hot off the press hits.
