Why is it hot?
Originally discovered by students due to their purse friendly prices this trendy hair salon looks tiny from the outside but, venture in and you'll soon discover a sprawling second floor to accommodate the Saturday crowds. Box Creative has been around for a fair few years but due to the abundance of hair salons in Leeds the talents that lie within its doors have remained relatively unknown until fairly recently. The old fashion bicycle in the doorway is a dead giveaway that you're going to get a lot more individuality for your money than your run of the mill Toni & Guy and although your stiletto might get stuck in between the gaps of the wooden floorboards and your stylist might keep you waiting for five minutes whilst he runs out for a Starbucks to cure his hangover you can't help but love this place and, after one visit, you can guarantee you'll be back.

Best Part?
Hearing about the staff's adventures the night before. There's nothing like a good bit of ear-wigging and gossip to pass the time whilst you're waiting for your new highlights to be finished.
Worst part?
They only accept cash. We got caught short but the receptionist kindly waited for us to run out to the nearest cash machine so we could pay.
