The Exchange is open for lunch and dinner, offering customers a range of modern European dishes, including many Liverpool and North West regional classics served with a modern twist in a casual and contemporary environment.
Reflecting the city's trading origins, the menu draws influence from the vast heritage of recipes and flavours introduced by this exchange of goods such as US-style grills.
As well as popular Mediterranean-influenced items such as risotto and pasta, key dishes include starters: North West smoked fish platter (£11.50), Formby Wood wild mushroom, rocket and Ribblesdale cheese chart (£6.95), Lancashire wood pigeon, pancetta and chestnut salad with blackberry dressing (£8.95).
The wine list features a popular selection, encompassing both New and Old World wines classified by wine character. Prices start at £4.95 per glass and £16.95 for a bottle.
The Exchange seats 118 covers and the overall scheme subtly references the industrial heritage of the venue. Colours comprise red, purple, bronzes, with a beige stone tiled floor, walnut brown wood on tables, white walls and an accent wall in silver and maroon stripe.
The restaurant features leather banquettes on both sides of the venue in tones of red and purple; the shape is suggestive of the interlocking port layout as seen in the old schematic plans of Liverpool's port.
