This salon is a mere hop and a step away from Harrods, but thankfully its prices are a little more reasonable. Not heard of them yet? Well John Carne’s new Knightsbridge Hair Boutique is the award winning chain’s first to open in central London, having already had successful homes in Wimbledon Village and Guildford for many years.
We visited for a cut and colour and were met by Ellie, joint-owner, and an absolute star. The nice thing about this salon is the mags are piled high and you can even get a manicure as your colour sets = multi-tasking magic! Plus downstairs is a super-relaxing spa area where you can sit back and get massaged in your chair while you get your foils off. And all with a beautiful vanilla scent in the air rather than the chemically smell of bleach some salons fail to hide! Oh and we should mention the seasonally changing drinks menu too which includes cinnamon latte or a mulled fruit infusion for winter.
But really it’s the staff who stand out, every person we met was really lovely and nothing is too much trouble. So we’d certainly recommend checking it out if it’s in your neck of the woods.
