Part of the Hilton hotel group (although youd never guess it), when you enter the modern looking airy foyer its easy to be distracted by the cool Rockwell bar which often has a DJ playing to the glamorous party loving crowd. But head to the lifts and go up to the top floor where up a narrow staircase youll suddenly feel like youre on the top of the world.
The bar has recently had a major re-fit and been designed by the guys behind Whisky Mist at Zeta and Cuckoo Club. Basically that means it feels a bit like Ibiza up there weather permitting of course. And if its not as hot then dont fear there are plenty of gas heaters and rugs to keep you warm.
From the London Eye to Nelson himself standing proudly on his column, the 360 degree views are well worth the £5 cover price. As well as an extensive wine and cocktail list they do great (and affordable) bento box style bar snacks so you can settle in for the evening and watch the sunset because we think the view gets even better at night.
Our tip is to get there early because before they open up the bar extension (later this year) there are strict rules about capacity and once its reached youre not coming in till someone leaves. The Friday before we went we heard that people had been queuing to go up for 3 hours now thats the sign of a must-visit bar!
