Why is it hot?
The store keeps up to date with the latest trends, ensuring that their stock reflects the catwalks collections. They also work with the seasons. In the winter expect to find more rails of vibrant coloured knits at £12 upwards, and in the summer pretty slips of dresses fill the store. Patterned fabrics have also been made into little strappy numbers, an item that your wardrobe just should not be without. The cabinet of jewellery holds items that have been made by local designers and Topshop even stock a small range of the stores goods in their boutique section. The window display of a girl seated at her console table makes you feel as though you are sneaking a glimpse, a voyeur from the outside. Yet on passing through the shop door it's like you are entering her wardrobe, and what a wardrobe it is! The shop assistants are both really friendly, and so stylish, wearing the stock with so much confidence it is hard not to take notice. The flyers of club nights which are laid out on the table as you leave ensure that you never have the excuse I have nowhere to wear this to' and makes you do a complete U-turn and head back to the till to buy that special something.
The 2 for £5 offer on earrings is such a bargain, I love how they place them in a huge antique bowl which is such a pretty item in itself. I bought a raffia coin belt that could easily pass off for YSL.
This store has got itself a real celebrity following. Alexa Chung recently bought a black patterned vintage dress and although it was a one-off there was a similar one in pink when I was there. Get there quick to snap it up! The Ting Tings Katie is also a well known regular.
The clothes are each already prewashed expect to fall in love with the prom dresses, and bow blouses many of which have been re-worked to ensure a better and snugger fit. They are neatly placed in sections making it easier to find what you are looking for.
