Kate Moss spent her hen do here and Keira Knightley loved the private beach. This is truly the most relaxing, beautiful place you can imagine and thats why the stars swoop to it whenever they touch down on the island. And now so will we!
The hotel has all individually-designed rooms so we stayed in one of the attic rooms which was gorgeous and spacious. But if you can wait until next Spring, the hotel has also gone and got itself luxury yurts- which go well beyond glamping, with private views of the beach and roll top baths, were talking proper luxury.
You see Priory Bay is a real retreat. The hotels beach is the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon (they are going to offer beach weddings next year btw) and theres a six hole golf course to entertain the boy.
But really apart from the gorgeous setting which instantly makes you relax on arrival, its the food that stands out. We sampled the tasting menu at The Island Room restaurant and every course that came out beat the one before, even though you didnt think that could even be possible. But flaunting the freshest ingredients from land and sea, the menu was skilfully put together to ensure a wonderful combination of flavours and a fabulous experience.
If youre visiting the Isle Of Wight, then you need to visit Priory Bay. Simple.
