Gossip from the British Fashion Awards!

It was British fashion's biggest night and Company was there to rub shoulder pads with models, designers and, er Posh Spice. So lets start with Posh. With her hair as one of our table guests put it 'like she's got bread rolls stuck on her head' I have to say I don't think it was her finest fashion hour. The photo all the paparazzi were desperate for was Posh with Kate Moss - they all got their photo eventually but it was some logistical nightmare getting them together. Which one was skinnier? Posh by a mile apparently!

Other guest included Erin O'Conner, Dame Vivienne Westwood, Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof, Karen Elson (who provided the moment of the evening by falling off the stage as she went up to present an award and brought proceedings to a halt while they picked her up, checked she hadn't broken anything then carried on - fashion really has no mercy!)
We ate, duck breast with green beans followed by knickerbocker glories (well I say 'we' am sure there was a lot of food pushing around plates elsewhere in the room) and watched as Lauren Laverne in Matthew Williamson span through the awards.

Best designer went to Christopher Bailey for Burberry, best model was Georgia May Jagger who gave an almost tearful speech thanking her mum Jerry who watched proudly. Grace Coddington who found fame this year thanks to her scene stealing roles in The September Issue won the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator and Kate Moss scooped the public vote for the London 25 Award being named the person most responsible for giving the British fashion industry global recognition.

Still you can keep all your fashiony types truthfully I was most excited about the fact that sitting on the table next to me were Joe Calzaghe and Kristina Rihanoff who contrary to some reports seem very much together. In fact they were kissing and canoodling all night - almost put me off my pudding!
