From Alexa\'s wardrobe to the high street, collars have been big fashion news lately, adding a bit of prim and properness to every look! Luckily for us, there is an easy way to get the collared look at home, and it doesn\'t involve buying a new wardrobe!
One of our fave thrifty bloggers, Jen from A Little Bird Told Me, shows us how to make a pretty collar to jazz up our wardrobe with!

You will need:

An old shirt with a print you like (Jen picked hers up in a charity shop), scissors, lace, pearls and thread.

Cut the collar off the shirt at the base of the collar seam. If you just need a quick collar fix, you can leave it as it is. But if you want to get creative, continue!

Sew some lace around the edge of the collar using a matching coloured thread.

Sew the pearls onto the corners of the collar. If you want a more edgy look, you could use studs instead.
