Created by MAC, the make up look was Victoria Lake meets 2012. Really highlighted cheekbones, classic feline eyeliner flick, eyeshadow on bottom line giving a sexy natural shadow - all equals effortless beauty. Gold leaf on lid with shine medium and fix spray gives it an edge.

L'Oreal Professionalcreated this 50's wave but quite baked looking - as the stiffness makes it modern. Inspired by Veronica Lake, curls made with a really small iron, clipped up for 2 hours with techni-art pli and loads of air fixing spray. Brushed out and then bent into shape.

MARY KATRANTZOU AW12 BEAUTY

Wella Professional creted this look and the inspiration was a girl about shoreditch, hair thrown up into little Pom Pom top-knot. A lot of high necks was featured in the clothes, so the hair was created to Po, Pom, finished off with Stay Essential Hairspray.

This look was created by MAC and was a modern take on an elegant liner "a double step bolt". Clothes are structured and detailed so eyeliner is detailed to match. Face is left minimal and bare - so it was very fresh. A little Face and Body foundation was used and a dab of MAC lip balm.

PRINGLE AW12 BEAUTY

The makeup inspiration was the "This is England' film; slightly rocky, 80's punk. Very clear fresh skin and blood red lips in a combination of L'Oreal Paris colour riche lipstick in True Red, Magnetic Coral and Nude Ingenue.

The hair inspiration was a punky girl the designer knew at school, slightly rebellious with constant change in hair color. 10 years on, the hair has grown out so just ends colored; reminiscent of her youth. All girls in diff coloured ends, and a water based make up was used to create the dip dye look. L'oreal Paris studio silk and gloss curl power spray used throughout hair.

MULBERRY AW12 BEAUTY

The Mulberry girl this season was a aughty schoolgirl who's escaped boarding school and had a wild weekend! She's got glowing skin (L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique foundation) and flushed cheeks (they mixed three lipsticks together to create the blush - L'Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick in Sweet Berry, Nude Ingenue an Dating Coral). Her mascara's a bit cloggy like he's slept in it from the night before. We've all been there...

PAM HOGG AW12 BEAUTY

The Body Shop created the make up look here and the inspiration was tribal swan. Animalistic and futuristic elements of beauty were used, and  silver eyeliner was blotted onto lips.

Hair was by Efi Davies at Toni & Guy but was pam's vision. A slick ponytail was created with a strong centre parting, and a few rolls running through at the front. Label m volume mouse was used for texture.

DAVID KOMA AW12 BEAUTY

Stila created the make up for this show and it had a dangerous and daring look. Strong lip with overnight wine look - story to tell but a bit of a blur. 'Pomegranate' was used on lip, mixed with 'midnight blue' eyeliner. Flawless skin, with a dash of gloss onto the brow bone, holding brow up.

DAVID KOMA AW12 BEAUTY

GHD created the hair for this show, and the collection as a whole was inspired by David Koma's love for greyhounds - sleek, elegant and powerful animal. Slight 60's scoop at front, one side is brushed back with 'final fix hairspray' adding a slight masculine feel to look. Ponytail at back slowing out of 'eyelid' - running theme throughout show.

Maybelline New York created this mannequin skin look, inspired by early Kate Moss and Johnny Depp; flawless youthful skin. Almost nothing was used, keeping it fresh and modern. Concealer on lips and beige nude eyeshadow used on cheekbones for luminosity.

Hair inspiration referenced early 90's grunge; Kate Moss and Johnny Depp, tapping into her innocence through hair. Braids all over head then pulled out and pinned to head. Some of the clothes are frayed around the edges - so a slightly undone effect portrayed in hair. Look Lock was used throughout hair.

GILES AW12 BEAUTY

The make up look was created by MAC and inspired by Sleepy Hollow, so was incredibly beautiful. Big smokey eye bleeding out with no border. Lips were a mixture of Harvest (purple) and Groundwork (dark brown paint pot).

OSMAN AW12 BEAUTY

Bumble and Bumble created this modern haute couture look as well as having a strong oriental feeling to it. Slightly masculine but with a fresh natural feel,  Thickening Spray was used all the way through hair giving body to look. Top is backcombed creating volume, while narrow sides with the back were left looking soft and dry.

GILES AW12 BEAUTY

The hair, by Label m, looks beautifully lived in. Material used in the hair was similar to clothing - it has holes burnt into it which is then used to accessorize hair. Ponytail is pushed out and then pulled back to create a pretty mess. Relaxing balm is used to weigh the hair down.

TOPSHOP UNIQUE AW12 BEAUTY

The make up nspiration was 1980's Madonna. The approach was to create an army of beautifully polished girls. Lip is pinky nude to tie everything in. Kohl rimmed eye mixed with 'Blackpool' eyeshadow for intensity. Skin is super creamy and flawless.

Sam McKnight created the hair look and it was left down,very natural, light and airy. The beauty was feminine, so kept clean and simple. A little water is used with Frederick Fekkai lifting texturizing spray gel keeping it light.

ERDEM AW12 BEAUTY

Created by MAC, the inspiration for this show was the clothes - there was so much colour and texture, but with a very androgynous and robotic feel to it. A floating feline flick straight from the socket line - trick of the eye. Strobe Cream was used on cheekbones and clean nourished lips with lip balm. Electric blue nails added drama.

Charles Worthington's tram created this look and the inspiration was Peggy Guggenheim; flamboyant bohemian art collector. Super luxe and polished low pony. was created and Hair Repair Elixir Oil was rubbed on hands and lightly put through hair. Strong lighting was used in the show so hair was designed to reflect beams.  Hair tied with hat elastic.

TODD LYNN AW12 BEAUTY

Maybelline created the make up look and was influenced by the wife of a rock star and inspired by modern renaissance art - brushes used softly so shades are layered up rather than just painting it on.

The hair, by Toni and Guy, was a low ponytail in nape area to create a really small head. Todd's ribbons on the clothes are reflected in the slightly webbed and irregular hair at front. Gel was used to keep everything wet and flat.

L'Oreal Paris created this make up look, which was inspired by 'From Russia with Love' and 'Doctor Zhivago'. "It's all about the blush"  - frost bitten run of flush to the cheeks. Overall it was fresh faced with a glossy finish.

L'Oreal Professional created the hair look which was also inspired by Dr Zhivago. Hair was split into 4 sections and then tied together, teased with sparkling mist. A quirky classic chignon.

RICHARD NICOLL AW12 BEAUTY

Created by MAC, the make up look was all about cold tones, creating something soft and minimalist. Soft grey tone in corner of eye up to eyebrows created intensity, while neutral tones over face made it minimalistic. Studio scalp foundation was used which gives a half matt, half satin finish.

The hair was created by L'Oreal Professional and the look was "the perfect ponytail" - a low 90's very minimal scraped back ponytail, with the ends  ironed polka straight. Loads of glossy control was added to give it a nice sheen.

Created by MAC, make up had a sophisticated look with an underlined sexiness. 'Messy is sexy' was the attitude, and the feel was slightly northern European. Skin is very highlighted with a dark berry stained lip in media and vino - then buffed all over. Shimmer in the inner corners of eye in light touch pigment.

Created by Pantene, this show had a very strong and powerful hair look. Quite masculine at front but with femininity at back. Side parting, hair looked shiny but not wet. A tiny bit of movement was acheived at the back with Magic Move Foam. Lots of Pantene hairspray working it through layer by layer. It had a dry finish, so no contrast between top and bottom.

 Petros Petrohilos from MAC created the look, and all the make up artisits ha dthis face chart to copy the make up from onto the models.

The make up was created by Sarah Lucero at Stila. Inspired by the celebration of youth and beauty, the look was very classic against ornate and textures clothes. Skin is glossy and sheen giving healthy glow. Used 'in the light' palette - colours used are only just darker than models natural skin tone. 'Camilia Convertible Colour' was used on cheeks on lip  to create a convertible cream finish.

MATTHEW WILLIAMSON AW12 BEAUTY

Hair at this show was really feminine and beautiful, effortlessly complimenting Matthew williamson's collection. Low ponytail and wrapped around with band, within the messiness of hair, little texture with band. The team used volume plumping mousse on hair when wet at beginning before styling.

Nails were simple, short and rounded and painted using Nails Inc in Victoria.

The make up look was created by MAC adn was a mix between a little Russian doll and bond girl! Gorgeous blown out smokey eye in natural colours contrasted with blush on the apples of cheeks in frankly Scarlett. Vanilla pigment was used for highlighter and lips were made up of combination between Neon Orange and Lady Danger.

The hair team at John Frieda said that the inspiration for the hair was Natalie Portman in her first ever film; The Professional - a sharp squared bob. Hair is pulled back and blow-dried with John Frieda Luxurious Volume Mousse and Hairspray, then an already dyed and cut fringe is attached for square bob effect.

ANTONIO BERADI AW12 BEAUTY

Nails by Jenny Longworth were called the 'modern moon' - teal blue nail with nude half moon. Inspiration was Shakespeare's Sister; strong and androgynous but still womanly, polished and expensive. Color used was fashionista (march) and a Revlon concealer brush dipped in acetone was used to create moon.

The make up look was created by Revlon and the inspiration was handsome beauty and the film The Professional. Grey tones from Siren Palette were used creating a contemporary socket with gloss placed in the teardrop of eye and over the lid - pinky and cool but still expensive and sexy. Dab of 'really red' on lips with a coat of gloss.

KINDER AGGUGINI AW12 BEAUTY

The team at Maybelline, fronted by Sharon Dowsett created the make up look which took inspiration from the loafers from show with glittery toes! Cosmetic filter in bronze and gold was layered up on water shine lipstick with Swarovski crystals on top. (20 per model) while the face was left youthful and fresh with BB cream in 'dream fresh'.

The hair was created by Malcom Edwards at L'oreal professional, and the look was all about taking art and making it your own. Side was parting done on damp hair using Hair Fix, while lots of cheeky little ponytails were created (clothes from the show are divided up in sections so the hair took inspiration form that). It resulted in a 'do that was actually very simple but looks complicated!

The beauty tema at the Clements show created a look that epitomised boyish beauty - but with a pop of colour from a bright fuchsia lip.

Hair at this show was a messy, airy up-do, accessorised with a thick black headband twisted at the front.

The make up at this show was created by Lucia Pironi at MAC, and was provocative, with a sexy kitten eye look. There was also a Japanese influence with the straight block flick. The overall sense of the look was 'cute'!

Toni and Guy created the hair look, lead by Antony Turner, and the inspiration was an accessible street wise woman, very sophisticated. There was also a slight influence from The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. High on top, sides gelled down... Very aerodynamic!

The make up look at Moschino Cheap & Chic was amazing pink glitter lips teamed with peachy, velvety skin.

The hair at DAKS was quite preppym and included cute clips with a modern take on a classic 50s look.

PPQ AW12 BEAUTY

The inspiration for the look at PPQ was very cinematic and expensive. Naturally beautiful, it focuses on red lip and strong bow, while paler girls wore a heart on the left of cheek, done in black liquid eyeliner - good tip!

The look for PPQ was, according to James Read 'Luxury skin. Models had a porcelain tan and were reminiscent of 40s and 50s pin ups like Marilyn Monroe. The hair, by Tigi was slightly 50s inspired, as well as elements of Dracula(!) to tie in with slightly darker elements to the collection. The tresses were designed to looks expensive but like it's been lived in for about 2 days.

MARIA GRACHVOGEL AW12 BEAUTY

The hair, styled by Bumble & Bumble, was a "bob with a difference."  They used references from 20's / futuristic / art deco / androgynous to make the hair compliment the gorgeous dresses. Tied at bottom, hair was put into a pony tail and rolled up into pinned bob, the sprayed with thickening spray to cfinish the look.

For the make up look, again the inspiration was very 1920s, with the focus on the idea of liberated women. It was a very sexy look, and as the clothes are slouchy, the make up was inspired by the comfort of clothing. Lips were a mixture of red and maroon pigment to create red stain, inspired by the red wine lip stain. The face was left clean and fresh, with the brows lifted with concealer for more of a punch.

The beauty look, by the Make Up Forever team, was clean and sexy sophisticated, with top-heavy hair. a three colour tone lip ( with those hues matching clothes according to what each girl is wearing). the eyes were 'champagne', while the rest of the face was kept clean.

JEAN-PIERRE BRAGANZA AW12 BEAUTY

The model's hair was styled by the GHD team, and the look was slightly Ab Fab inspired, with the stylists calling it a "crazy moment of madness up-do". The idea was the the looks were business woman by day, fun by night. Sides of the hair were made really flat and super elegant, and the up-do was created with a faux fringe that is 2 shades lighter than hair to make it pop. A GHD rake was used to help create a wierd and crazy backcomb - very rock and roll! GHD total volume foam and root lift spray were mixed together - making hair look quite dry looking and more rocky..

FELDER FELDER AW12 BEAUTY

The make up look, created by the MAC team, was inspired by Ryan McGinley cave photographs, the Mayan calendar and 2012 end of the world predictions! Visually vibrant and optimistic, the colour 'blonde' features throughout in both material and makeup. Everything from eyeshadow to blush was " all about blonde", according to makeup artist Georgina Graham. The whole idea behind the beauty look was to create natural, tonal and multi textural make up.

The hair, styled by the Sebastian team, had the same inspiration as the make -up, as well as icons like Kate Moss and Johnny Depp in the 90s -  glamourous, but looks slightly worn in. There was a very strong deep parting keeping framed round the face, worn in look, and the hair was prepped hair with trilliant.

ANTONI & ALISON AW12 BEAUTY

The look at Antoni & Alison was inspired by the 1920s. Hair was styled by the John Freida team, and they used Frizz Ease gel on models real hair and then styled real hair wigs over the top. Wigs were cropped for simplicity as the clothing was so detailed.

VIVIENNE WESTWOOD RED LABEL AW12 BEAUTY

It was all about boyish beauty at Vivienne Westwood - make-up artist Val Garland called it 'a little bit lesbian!' She used caramel, dusty, earth tones to give the girls a slightly 1930s/1940s feel. Hair was curled on a really small tong, brushed out to make it frizzy, and pinned up into a short back and sides with a quiff.

The Westwood girls were meant to look like they were in a gang so they makeup artists draw black tattoos all over their hands and necks. Manicurist Marian Newman gave them amazing tattooed nails too using Minx. So cool!

The make up look was very clean and fresh with the emphasis placed on amazing skin.

This look is a super-simple and paired down to complement both the ladylike dresses but also the bomber style pieces within the collection.  We played with various different placements of a sleek ballerina bun, but in the end, placing it just above the bone in the centre of the back of the head gave it an element of toughness.  Although the clothing is very 'lady-like' the hair embodies a modern edginess by the way in which it is pulled back from the face and is secured firmly and with exact precision.

The hair is initially prepped with a cocktail of L'Oreal Professionnel tecni art pli and tecni art gloss control.  It is then combed back with a fine comb and tied into a ponytail. The ponytail is then straightened in sections with iron’s and smoothed using tecni art liss Control+, before being twisted tightly and wrapped into a very polished bun and secured with pins. Finally, the hair is finished off with L'Oreal Professionnel Infinium force 4 to ensure maximum hold.

OSMAN AW12 BEAUTY

MAC created a look which embodied a warm winter tan. Blush iwas inspired by Mongolian women - a weathered, natural blush. Thick and luscious brows with 'lingering' brow pencil. Coffee Walnut and Copper sculpting creams was used throughout face with Coffee Walnut used in particular around the eyes. Cheeks are blotted with red paint stick'. Coral also used on cheeks to make face pop! Lip colours were from MAC's fall palette: 'dark currents' mixed with 'coffee walnut' again.
