Hair was given a textured ruffled look to create that 'the-night-before' look. L'Oreal Beach Fizz was applied and hair was left to dry naturally with no brushes used for styling at all! Finally, fringes were teased into a side parting.

MAC were inspired by 90s grunge, working a smokey brown shadow up to the brow and under the eye too. Skin was super-polished and flawless, but was created so you could see the foundation. Skin was contoured using their new Taupe Shape Powder Blush and lips were coloured with a mixture of Hug Me and Myth. Lids were lined with a very thin application of liner and mascara was applied at the roots only.

The theme for hair was intentional hat hair! Inspired by 70's grunge and Courtney Love "before she went trampy", Babyliss created textured waves but pinned hair down at the top to create that flattened hat hair look!

Preen
Cult American brand Sunday Riley is touching down in Space NK in November but we got a sneak peek at Preen. Val Garland used the Good Genes Serum followed by their Effortless Tinted Primer and Light Liquid Foundation. This created glowy skin perfection and a barely-there look which seems to be sweeping the catwalks for SS13!

Moschino Cheap & Chic
Using MAC, Hannah Murray created a look that was a nod to the 70's but still young and urban. Bright blue lined eyes were created by layering up different shades of eye pencil and eye shadow around the eye to give a textured feel. Lashings of black mascara was applied, brows were brushed up and MAC's Improper Copper was applied to cheeks and excess was dotted onto lips.

Hair was inspired by African/urban influences mixed with a romantic 70s hippie look. The process for creating this crimped style for this show was incredible to watch! Pantene's stylists applied loads of mousse to hair before blow drying it straight, then plaited sections of the hair before using straighteners to press down on the plaits to set the shape. Plaits were then brushed out to give a seriously frizzy, crimped look! Gorge!

L'Oreal added hair extensions to models hair to create poker straight long locks. Two unseen braids were created at the temples and pulled back under the hair to create a 'face lift' effect, and a pony tail was created using the underlayer of hair to prevent too much of a volume of hair. It was finished with Mythic Oil to give a really sleek look.

Mary Katrantzou
Hair was given a sleek and creative updo in the form of a slicked back bun wrapped around itself and pinned in place.

Make up was created to reflect a key theme in Mary's designs - money and globalisation. Inspired by the blue writing on money, Val Garland created an inky blue line on lids and skin was kept very fresh.

The make up was inspired by "Holly Hobby gone fishing", with an outdoorsy fresh faced feel. The aim was to make models look like they weren't wearing make up at all. The make up artist used products in different ways - bronzer was used on eyelids and lip and eye pencils were used to dot freckles onto cheeks! We adored this look!
