Milan Fashion Week SS12 Round Up: Dolce & Gabbana
Weve all heard of double denim and for SS12 Dolce and Gabbana bring us double - and in some cases even triple - print. Oversized tomatoes, peppers, aubergines and courgette prints cooked up an energetic and feel good Italian treat - while tiny bloomer style shorts and mini crop tops peppered the elation with an impending sense of dread will you be brave enough?

Milan Fashion Week SS12 Round Up: Prada
Stealing the limelight from almost the entire week of Milan shows, Pradas SS12 collection managed to tightrope the fine line between bold prints and headache inducing optical abuse. Seamlessly mixing plain brights with fresh pastel prints and structured lightweight jackets with soft pleating, Prada has always been a brand that sets the trend bar for the whole season and with this show setting Twitter alight, it seems that the bar has been set even higher than ever for SS12.

Milan Fashion Week SS12 Round Up: Moschino Cheap and Chic
For SS12 the Moschino Cheap and Chic collection took us to market. Carrot, apple, seed, grape and posy prints graced the mini and maxi dresses in front of a backdrop of farmers market crates. Fresh and zesty as the fruits displayed, the colours burst off the runway and seemed to give us all a revitalising boost of vitamin C style energy with all this delicious print we can have our SS12 and eat it...!
Milan Fashion Week SS12 Round Up: Just Cavalli

Milan Fashion Week SS12 Round Up: Just Cavalli
While some brands are moving away from the slight boho trend that is just about visible for AW11, Just Cavalli are galloping ahead Navajo-style for next summer. With the staple SS12 trends of pastels and prints firmly in place, feathers, whipstitch, fur gilets and cocked wide brim hats accessorised both the men and women - some of whom looked as if they had been purchasing vintage Wilma Flintstone on Ebay. At Cavalli you are never too far from a leopard print and that, along with fur pelts nonchalantly strewn over holdalls looked as if they\'d been out catching their much needed dinner.
Milan Fashion Week SS12 Round Up: Gucci

Grown up tailoring and 1920s-esque cocktailwear ruled the runway at the Gucci show; jewel colours of emerald, amber, onyx, opal and gold moved the collection away from the near impossible to wear head-to-toe white and insipid pastels seen at so many shows. Architectural art deco prints lent a good structure to the floaty flapper style dresses and meant that the tailoring packed a good 80s power dressing punch. Bugsy Malone meets Dallas...we LOVE!
Milan Fashion Week SS12 Round Up: Jil Sander

Milan Fashion Week SS12 Round Up: Jil Sander
Jil Sander may be known for a good old white cotton poplin shirt but this was taken to a whole new level for SS12. The first half of the show consisted of look after look of what can only be described as white scrubs-chic, suggesting the models should have been wringing their hands with massage oil with ambient sounds of orcas in the background. 1960s bold paisley prints broke up the monotony and added a welcome texture to the show. Accessories were kept muted so as not to distract from the decibel of the prints. This collection is rumoured to be Raf Simons last collection as - if gossip is to be believed - he will be moving to YSL...well keep you posted!

Milan Fashion Week SS12 Round Up: DSquared2
Having had a growing impact on fashion in the last couple of years, it was only a matter of time before a whole runway show was dedicated to the music, mud and mayhem of a festival. Going as far as to cover the runway in mud and attempt to rival the Hunter welly by putting a DSquared2 logo where the \'Hunter\' used to be, there was a slight grown of predictability and disappointment. Havent we just seen all this? Denim cut offs, fringed bags, printed tees, wide low slung belts and bright rim shades. Was this SS12 or SS11?
