Shoes For Show: The Sculptural Art of High Heels
Ever marvelled at the balancing act of Victoria Beckham and Lady Gaga as they tackle their 6 inch Manolos? Well we’ve got the show for you... Javari, the online shoe and handbag store, are launching their first exhibition showcasing the most daring footwear of the fashion world.

‘Shoes For Show: The Sculptural Art Of High Heels’ allows you to linger over the highest pair of Louboutins EVER made or get up close and personal with the futuristic Gareth Pugh heels worn by Beyoncé in her ‘Run The World (Girls)’ video. The show boasts couture pieces from the private collections of well-known figures as well as one-off pairs from fashion’s finest including Daphne Guinness and Nicholas Kirkwood. And if history’s your thing then you can feast your eyes on the oldest exhibit, a pair of stunning 4 inch embroidered heels dating back to 1851!! If you love shoes as much as we do you’ll soon be drooling over this fashion gold-dust...

The collection’s curator Shonagh Marshall explains to the Guardian the concept behind the exhibition: “I wanted not to dismiss the functionality (of the shoes), but to focus on their beauty by placing them in the context of a gallery as sculptural pieces of art. I wanted to highlight the mathematical proportion and precision that goes into shoe design.”

The company behind the show, Javari, is one of the hottest fashion websites for lovers of shoes and handbags. Launched two years ago by Amazon and featuring current season stock from trendy brands such as Dune, KG by Kurt Geiger and Carvela, Javari has won numerous awards for its easy-to-use website for fashion-lovers.

So put on your favourite towering heels and totter down to the Loading Bay on 91 Brick Lane, one of East London’s most popular creative spaces, to view these eye-watering designs at the FREE public exhibition, running from 4th-8th November.
