The festival plays host to over 400 performances on 20 stages connected by cobbled streets, ramparts and tunnels - a walk through the fortress is like a trip through a magical wonderland.

First Acts for 2011 unveiled:
The first acts revealed to rock the fortress are; Canadian art-rock outfit and festival favourites Arcade Fire, who will be bringing their exceptional live show to Exit's Main Stage. With three critically acclaimed albums under their belt, the most recent 'The Suburbs' reaching #1 in seven territories including the USA, UK and Canada, they incredible live, with multi-instrumentalist band members exchanging instruments throughout their performance.
Gearing up to take to the decks in the legendary Dance Arena for 2011 are; Canadian DJ and producer extraordinaire Tiga, head honcho of Turbo Recordings and a master behind the decks - get set to be wowed by his trademark injection of edgy electronic sounds and grooves.
Also performing on the arena is Exit favourite - James Zabiela. His 2006 closing set performance with an impromptu appearance from Goldie on the mic proved to be one of James' best sets to date (and also one of Exit's), and he will be doing yet another spectacular set this year!
Local hero Gramophonedzie, another one of Serbia's finest exports (the first being electricity) had an international #1 dance hit with 'Why Don't You' this summer. The Dance Arena is renowned for being the best on the planet by DJs and public alike - and the experience of dancing with 20,000 people as the sun rises over the fortress walls is amazing!
2011 is set to be another year of unadulterated electronic music of the highest calibre and these names are a taster of what's to come.
2011 will also see events before and after EXIT, happening in the city of Novi Sad and Belgrade, so festival goers can spend longer in Serbia experiencing the country, having fun and seeing new sights and cities. It's a great reason to travel and say 'Hello world'.
