Company Music: The Weekly Wake Up!

NZCA

This week's Wake Up is by the amazing NZCA/Lines. Now, first thing’s first, before you start smugly tipping people off about a sizzling hot new act called "NNnn-Zed-Ca Forward Slash Lines", it’s pronounced, simply “Nazca Lines”.

Now we have that out of the way, this morning's Weekly Wake Up is brought to you by Michael Lovett, a man proving that it is in fact scientifically possible to look thigh rubbingly sexy whilst simultaneously resembling a Heron. Who knew!

Serene and meticulously composed, Lovett's 'Okinawa Channels' is swathed in a halcyon atmosphere, it's pure, uncomplicated synth music - the total antithesis of getting on the Central line at 9am on a Monday morning as your two day hangover kicks in. Inspired by the crisp production of Timbaland's sparse and sophistically seductive Aaliyah tracks, this is a song full of RnB beats and melodic, Metronomy inspired majesty.

Making music a clean as his finely ironed shirt collars, as far as future pop goes, this song’s pretty much perfection.
