When we put a call out for our BRIT Girl competition, we were expecting a good response. But it turned out that we actually had an AMAZING response, and it was a long but enjoyable task to read through the mountains of entries we received.
After Sara Louise Wilson wowed us (and most of the celebs she interviewed!) backstage at the BRIT Awards last year, we were looking for another girl that she could hand over the baton to - and we found her! Meet Becki Burrows, who is a Multimedia Producer in London.
Becki's BRIT Girl entry really stood out, and her blog, Oh Deary Me, made us laugh out loud. We love that she has a real passion for muisc and seeing bands live, and we're confident that she will do an amazing job when she's put on the spot interviewing BRIT Award winners and reporting for Company and Company.co.uk.
Here's what she had to say about winning our coveted prize:
"I'm so excited to have won this competition - to attend the BRITS is a real honour! I grew up watching the BRIT Awards and will never forget the Jarvis Cocker 'incident' all those years ago. So much has changed with regards to music and how it is discovered and rewarded but the BRITS still remains at the epicentre of award ceremonies. And finally - I'm going! Brilliant! I'm going to have to get myself a hot outfit for the night - and I would love to hold one of those BRIT awards in my own hands. I wonder if I'll get that opportunity.. "
