To celebrate Valentine's Day, top London mixologist, Andy Pearson (you might know him from TV's "Something For The Weekend") has created a tasty cocktail with a twist for all you romantic lovebirds out there...
Designed to be served as a two-piece martini set, one stem-less martini glass sits in the other, larger glass, which then rests in a bowl filled with crushed ice. With long and short silver straws to differentiate between the two, the top half contains the guy's part of the cocktail, while the bottom half is for the lady.
Sadly, Uncle Mikey and Lisa the Lush are too busy finishing Company's fab new fashion mag (watch this space!) to recreate this one in the office, but if you're feeling adventurous, try it at home and let us know how you got on!!!
Although we haven't tasted it for ourselves, we do love a drop of Chambord, so we're giving the His And Hers a heart-felt ten out of ten - and a big thumbs up!
HOW TO MAKE THE HIS AND HERS:
The male half:
Ingredients:
25ml Chambord
50ml Woodford Reserve Bourbon
2-3 dashes cherry bitters
short silver straw
Pour and stir ingredients over ice in a mixing glass. Double strain into chilled glass
Glass: two-piece martini set (stemless martini glass inset in a bowl filled with crushed ice)
The female half:
Ingredients:
30ml Chambord
20ml Vodka
50ml raspberyy puree
20ml Jasmine syrup
Top with Brut Champagne
long silver straw
Shake the first four ingredients over the ice and strain into the crushed-ice-filled bowl. Top with Champagne
Glass: two-piece martini set (stemless martini glass inset in a bowl filled with crushed ice)
The whole drink should be served on a plate lined with rose petals.
Enjoy!!!
