Gem's Gems: My LA Photo Diary "More like a clothes-obsessed batty moth rather than social butterfly, last month I flapped my wings hard enough to get across the Atlantic to go on a (quite ridiculous) holiday to the City of Angels.
Los Angeles... The city where dreams are made and the place I always said I didn’t care about visiting 'doesn’t appeal to me - too plastic' I'd say with a boringly pretentious tone. When I heard Caroline & Dawn were both going to be in La-La land at the same time – it was too much of an opportunity to miss. Life works in mysterious ways after all. I'm strong believer in that it's okay to change your mind.
We stayed at at The Roosevelt Hotel to spend the day by the pool, the food is yummy (including these amazing brownies), and it has the hippest of decadent old Hollywood atmospheres I experienced. Marilyn Monroe once lived there and I can see why."

Gem's Gems: My LA Photo Diary "The holiday marked something rare and unexpected. To mark the relationship with the two people I fell in love with in the jungle (yes you read that right), fellow telly-box beauties Dawn Porter and Caroline Flack.
In the past three years that I've considered myself a professional of any sort, there have been many wonderful people that I have worked with and got on more than splendidly with too - we’ve enjoyed parties after work hours, shared deep secrets and swapped life lessons to boot. But in most cases, it's hard to keep in as regular contact as you did when you were working intensely on that particular job - when they were your actual colleagues as well as mates."

Without doubt the best rummaging was at the highly recommended flea market in the ground's of Fairfax High School, 7850 Melrose Ave, LA, 90046."
